Artist Statement
My photography is multifaceted with a shared inspiration; to capture landscapes, people, and automobiles organically in specific moments in time. My work tends to show people directly interacting in their environment in a candid way which captures a natural and flattering mood not often found in a formal pose. Although timeless in its preservation, they intentionally chronicle the subject’s life at that time. Likewise, when it comes to landscapes, documenting them preserves that captured moment for future observers. My experimental landscape photos speak to individuals in a unique way as it changes the perspective in which they view the landscape. Transitioning from viewing a two-dimensional print to a three-dimensional print expands the art piece, changing it from a stationary piece of work, to an immersive one based on the viewer’s experience. My automobile photographs document a specific vehicle in its respective moment in time capturing that image for future generations to experience. My body of work expands my creative outlets and immerses me into situations that I normally would not find myself and allows me to document the world and people around me as I find them to share with future generations.
